Castellón, February 27, 2025.- The Provincial Council of Castellón consolidates its support for the ceramic sector with the presentation of the 18th International Congress of Ceramic Technicians, "a meeting and reflection space that reaffirms the role of ceramics as an economic, cultural, and social engine of our province".
This was highlighted by the Deputy of Ceramic Promotion, Vicente Pallarés, who, joined by the President of the Spanish Association of Ceramic Technicians (ATC), Juan José Montoro, presented this Thursday at Cevisama the eighteenth edition of this initiative that will be held in Castellón on November 20 and 21, 2025.
During his speech, Vicente Pallarés emphasized this event organized every two years by ATC, which aims to promote the presence of provincial ceramics nationally and internationally, ensuring that "it is a reference in our country". A biennial meeting supported by the provincial institution as part of the Castellón Council's drive for innovation and new uses of Castellón ceramics.
Each edition addresses technical issues of improvement and evolution for the entire ceramic cluster. Therefore, supporting this initiative is "vital" to "improve the outcome of this new industrial revolution, and thus enable the provincial ceramic sector to lead this change by being more competitive," stated the Deputy of Ceramic Promotion.
"We are at a crucial moment because the ceramic industry faces significant challenges such as digitalization, energy, environment, artificial intelligence, and competitiveness. And, as always, this sector has demonstrated its ability to adapt, reinvent itself, and lead change. History has taught us that Castellón ceramics have never lagged behind, and this time will be no different," highlighted Pallarés.
In this regard, the provincial deputy emphasized that it is time to work together, to face challenges with courage and determination. "From the Castellón Council, we reaffirm our commitment to this industry, a key ally in generating employment, talent, and development," stated Pallarés.
Ceramics are not only an economic engine but also "a symbol of our identity," therefore, "the Castellón Council will stand by ATC in all actions that help our technicians and ceramic companies maintain global leadership," assured the Deputy of Ceramic Promotion.
Castellón ceramics have withstood crises, overcome obstacles, and reinvented themselves time and again, so Vicente Pallarés insisted on "continuing to advance, innovate, and grow together," because "without industry there is no employment and without employment there are no jobs for the people of Castellón," concluded Vicente Pallarés.
