The Legislature De València Boosts Innovation in Local Management of the Province

 The Diputació de València will vote this Tuesday on the approval of the 2025 General Training Plan, which reinforces the commitment to innovation in local management. The main novelty is the DIVALDirectia Thematic itinerary, aimed at elected officials and personnel with high responsibilities, with content adapted to the current needs of municipalities.

The Training Deputy, Ricardo Gabaldón, highlights that training must be constantly updated to improve the service provided by public employees to the citizens. This plan includes more than 200 courses and 6,000 slots, aimed at workers of the Legislature, municipalities, and other local entities in the province. The training offer may be expanded according to demand and through the Grouped Continuous Training Plan.

Modalities and Decentralization

Since the pandemic, the Diputació maintains a strong commitment to online training, favoring participation and access to courses. However, in-person and mixed training will continue to be offered.

Additionally, the decentralization of the training offer in different inland municipalities is consolidated, facilitating access for public employees in these localities. “Bringing training closer to our towns is key to improving the service offered to citizens,” says Gabaldón.

Training Content

The plan covers multiple areas, with special emphasis on digital skills, electronic administration, and digital transformation. It also includes training on procurement, economic management, European funds, Valencian, and equality.

For new staff, there are specific courses in data protection, cybersecurity, occupational health, and sexual harassment protocol.

Among the specialized itineraries, DIVALDirectia (management), DIVALdata (data protection), and the new DIVALcomunica, designed to improve administrative communication and simplify language in the relationship with citizens, stand out.

The training actions will be taught by experts from the university, professional, and administrative fields.
