Castellón's Provincial Council Boosts Sports in the Province
A plan of aid valued at 2.87 million euros has been activated for clubs, entities, and athletes to continue consolidating the province as a great stage
Castellón's Legislature has activated a grant plan worth 2.87 million euros aimed at clubs, entities, and athletes to continue consolidating the province as a major sports venue. The institution has opened calls for grants for organizing sports activities and supporting athletes competing at regional, national, and international levels.
"This set of grants is essential to promote Castellón as an ideal territory for sports events throughout the year and to make our athletes the best ambassadors," highlighted the president of the Legislature, Marta Barrachina.
Within the Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2025, the grants are divided into four lines of action:
Sports clubs: 1.9 million euros distributed in elite sports (1.05 million), grassroots (650,000 euros), adapted (75,000 euros), and amateur (125,000 euros).
Private entities: 700,000 euros for sports activities, allowing up to four applications per beneficiary.
Athletes with competitions outside Spain: 70,000 euros to support their participation in international events.
Athletes with official regional, national, or international results: 200,000 euros allocated to those who excel in their discipline.
The Sports Deputy, Iván Sánchez, emphasized that these grants aim to "boost sports practice and facilitate access to grants for all interested parties, contributing to the promotion of sports and its values."
All information about the calls is available in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), and the application period will be open until March 28.
