The Community Hands Over the Keys to the Beneficiaries of the Plan Vive in Colmenar Viejo

Tenants will pay an affordable rent starting from 477 euros per month, 30% below the market average.

The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the Minister of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, and the Mayor of Colmenar Viejo, Carlos Blázquez Rodríguez, have participated in the key handover ceremony to the recipients of the first 282 homes of the Plan Vive in Colmenar Viejo.

The two developments delivered today are located at numbers 3 and 5 of Estación de Chamartín Street, feature a garage and storage room, and also include landscaped common areas, a children's area, and a swimming pool. Additionally, they are designed to achieve maximum energy efficiency thanks to the installation of centralized aerothermal systems and photovoltaic panels.

They are distributed into 109 one-bedroom homes, 117 two-bedroom homes, and 56 three-bedroom homes, and of these, 12 are adapted for people with reduced mobility. The tenants will pay an affordable rent starting at 477 euros per month, 30% below the market average.

"These 282 homes are the first of the 582 that will be delivered by the Community of Madrid through the Plan VIVE in Colmenar Viejo, showing the firm commitment of the Regional Government in Housing Policy with the residents of Colmenar Viejo," highlights Carlos Blázquez Rodríguez, Mayor of Colmenar Viejo.

He adds: "For access to these homes, whose rent is 30% below the market, priority has been given to those registered and/or workers who have their workplace in the municipality, to facilitate their access to their first home and so they can start their life project here."
