The Chilling Figure Sánchez's Government Has Given Morocco in Two Months
Instead of using resources to strengthen the Spanish healthcare system, the Government continues allocating significant sums to initiatives abroad.
Pedro Sánchez's government has unveiled a shocking figure: more than 757 million euros delivered to Morocco in just two months. Meanwhile, key sectors of Spanish society, such as healthcare and infrastructure, continue to suffer from shortages. Many are questioning what has motivated this amount of money allocated to the neighboring North African government.
A Million-Euro Disbursement
Since the beginning of this year, Sánchez's government has approved a repayable loan of up to 754,302,566 euros to support the acquisition of 40 intercity trains by Morocco.
The decision has not been well received in Spain. Many citizens question why large sums of money continue to be allocated to Morocco when there are internal economic problems.
The lack of resources in cities like Valencia or La Palma, which face significant shortages, and the structural difficulties of public hospitals. This exacerbates popular indignation.

Spending in the Healthcare Sector
Another expenditure approved by Sánchez's government has been 2.7 million for the rehabilitation of the Spanish Hospital in Tangier. While the measure is presented as a security guarantee for users, many Spaniards feel frustrated to see that, while their own health centers continue to deteriorate. The government continues to invest in infrastructure abroad.
Hospitals like the General University Hospital of Albacete continue to face serious shortages, which has led to widespread discontent. Instead of allocating those resources to improve the quality of care in Spain, citizens watch as money flows to other countries. Generating a feeling of abandonment in their own healthcare system.
Continuous Gifts to Morocco
This is not the first gift to Morocco under Pedro Sánchez's mandate. In November 2021, the government approved a grant of half a million euros to the CSAI Foundation. Intended to improve the healthcare system in Morocco.
This project aimed to implement family and community medicine in the country and strengthen the capabilities of healthcare professionals.

Indignation Among the Spanish Population
Despite these aids being presented as support for international cooperation, discontent has grown in Spain. Especially because Spanish healthcare continues to face serious difficulties. Many perceive that the funds allocated to these projects should be invested in improving internal conditions.
