Cecilia Herrero (vox) Consolidates Social Entrepreneurship Awards in Valencia

The Councilor for Entrepreneurship Strengthens Recognition of Companies Contributing to Social Well-Being • Entrepreneurship Actions Aligned with Constitutional Values Will Be Valued • The Total Amount of the Call Amounts to 52,000 Euros in Prizes

The Department of Entrepreneurship, led by Cecilia Herrero, has launched the second edition of the Social Entrepreneurship Awards, consolidating this initiative in València's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

"The City Council of València recognizes the effort of freelancers, companies, and entities that, beyond their own economic interest, work to create wealth, improve quality of life, or contribute to environmental sustainability, always in line with constitutional values," Herrero highlighted.

The head of the area emphasized that "this second edition reflects our commitment to promoting projects that enhance citizens' well-being, rewarding initiatives with social impact developed in the city."

The total amount allocated to the awards amounts to 52,000 euros, distributed in two categories. Category A rewards the Trajectory in Social Entrepreneurship with a first prize of 12,000 euros, a second of 8,000, and two third prizes of 6,000 euros each. Category B recognizes Projects or Actions in Social Entrepreneurship with four prizes of 5,000 euros each.

The awarded projects can be completed, in development, or pending initiation within a maximum period of 15 days from the notification of the grant. Additionally, initiatives that foster synergies with other entities, generate complementary services, or provide solutions to social deficiencies will be valued.

The evaluation committee will be chaired by Cecilia Herrero and composed of four renowned experts, along with the head of the Entrepreneurship Service, who will act as secretary.

The application submission period will open the day after the publication of the call extract in the Official Gazette of the Province and will end on September 10, 2025, inclusive.

"With these awards, we reinforce our commitment to an entrepreneurship model that places people at the center and generates a positive impact on society," Herrero concluded.
