The delegation promoted a wide range of proposals, including sports, cultural, gastronomic, and beach tourism, as well as notable events like the Total Solar Eclipse of 2026 and the second edition of the Wind Festival. During the days open to the public, thousands of people visited Castellón's stand, interacting with a dynamic and cinematic experience under the slogan "Castellón, based on a true story."

Gastronomy, culture, and sports: strategic pillars

The gastronomy dazzled attendees with show cookings organized by local restaurants and the Costa de Azahar Hospitality School. In the cultural sphere, Councilor María España presented the 2025 program, highlighting the centenary of the Castellón Municipal Band with 50 commemorative concerts.

Sports tourism, led by Councilor Maica Hurtado, was also a highlight. Castellón, recognized as an 'Active Running City' by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, will host nearly 200 sports events this year, reinforcing its role as a sports capital.

Festivals and international promotion

The Magdalena festivals, declared of International Tourist Interest, attracted public attention with a delegation of 70 representatives who brought the essence of this celebration to FITUR. Additionally, the Children's Gaiata of the City excelled as a symbol of these festivities.

Miralles emphasized the interest sparked by the 2026 eclipse, presented alongside science communicator Javier Santaolalla, as a unique opportunity to break the seasonality of tourism. "FITUR has allowed us to reaffirm Castellón as a destination full of opportunities, ready to offer unforgettable experiences to visitors," she concluded.
