Toni Pérez meets with Josep Oliu and guarantees Sabadell's commitment to Alicante.

Banco Sabadell ensures the maintenance of offices and employees in Alicante and strengthens support for companies and freelancers.

The president of the Alicante Provincial Council, Toni Pérez, has announced Banco Sabadell's commitment to maintaining the current number of branches and employees in the province, following a meeting with the president of the financial institution, Josep Oliu, at the Provincial Council's headquarters. Also present at the meeting were the bank's Director of Institutional Relations, Álvaro Echevarría, and the Territorial Director, Fernando Canós.

Pérez described the meeting as "satisfactory" and highlighted the importance of this decision to ensure economic and social stability in Alicante following the recent relocation of the bank's headquarters to Catalonia.

"It was a meeting to validate certainties and reaffirm commitments. It's essential to guarantee the number of jobs, branches, services, and the attention that Sabadell has provided so far to the province's clients," stated Pérez.

Support for the Local Business Fabric

In addition to maintaining the branch network, Banco Sabadell has committed to increasing credit to companies, SMEs, and freelancers in the province by 15%. Pérez emphasized the significance of this measure to boost Alicante's economic development, especially in sectors that depend on access to financing to grow and consolidate.

"Financial competition is key. Having more banking entities and branches always benefits those who need financing or banking services, and Sabadell's commitment strengthens that offer in our province," added the president.

A Commitment to Alicante

This agreement reinforces the collaboration between the Provincial Council and Banco Sabadell, ensuring that the institution maintains its roots in Alicante and continues contributing to the region's economic well-being. Toni Pérez reiterated the importance of this step to ensure that the bank remains a key pillar for the citizens, companies, and institutions of the province.

The announcement reinforces the stability of the financial network in Alicante, consolidating a framework of trust and opportunities for the local business fabric.
