Carrasco Drives Castellón's Tourism and Social Development Through Effective Management

The Castellón City Council, led by Mayor Begoña Carrasco, continues to demonstrate its commitment to the city

The Castellón City Council, led by Mayor Begoña Carrasco, continues to demonstrate its commitment to efficient management focused on the economic and social development of the city. The recent approval by the Local Government Board of several key initiatives reflects a comprehensive strategy that prioritizes tourism, social security, and the improvement of urban services.

Beaches ready before Easter to boost tourism

One of the most notable decisions has been the request to the Castellón Provincial Coastal Service for authorization of the Beach Exploitation Plan 2025-2028, which will allow seasonal services to be operational from April 1 to October 13. This plan not only ensures the availability of beach bars and services before Easter but also guarantees a diversified quality offer that contributes to Castellón's tourism competitiveness.

"This step reaffirms the government's commitment to maximizing the potential of our beaches, promoting job creation and improving the tourism offer," stated municipal spokesperson Vicent Sales. Additionally, events like the second edition of the Wind Festival, scheduled for June 7 and 8, consolidate the council's commitment to the destationalization of tourism.

Social commitment: support for women victims of gender violence

In the social sphere, the City Council has approved the extension of the contract for the psychological care service for women victims of gender violence, managed by the Trama Center Association. With a budget of 40,000 euros for the next year, this initiative reflects the local government's priority to put all municipal resources at the service of the women who need it most.

Urban improvements: optimization of Cardona Vives parking

Regarding the improvement of urban infrastructure, the concession for the management and operation of the underground parking at Cardona Vives Square has been awarded, with an annual fee of 134,915.67 euros. The awarded company will implement significant improvements, such as structural repairs, pavement renewal, and lighting optimization, which will contribute to providing a higher quality service to the citizens.

These actions reflect the strategic vision of the current government team, aimed at proactive management that drives economic growth, strengthens the social fabric, and improves the quality of life in Castellón.
