Worldline Presents the 'billete único De Transporte Nacional En Francia' Project at The

Worldline [Euronext: WLN], one of the global leaders in payment services, will present a lecture on the National Single Transport Ticket in France

José María López, Head of Business Development for Mobility & eTransactional Services at Worldline Iberia, will explain the context and future project to be carried out in France to achieve the single transport ticket for French citizens.

Context
France has long-term national carbon neutrality goals, with passenger transport being one of the key areas of action, so there is great interest in promoting public transport. Meanwhile, each region currently has its own transport systems and fares. In this context, the DGITM (General Directorate of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility of France), with the aim of providing initiatives to reduce pollution, has proposed the creation of a National Interoperability Platform and a national app to support the single Transport ticket, so that citizens can travel throughout France, thus promoting the use of Public Transport.

Consortium
A consortium led by Worldline won the bid at the end of 2024 for the project to implement the single ticket in France. The consortium includes the payment entities LCL and Crédit Agricole Payment Services. Other collaborating companies will also participate in the project.

Project
The objective of the project is to create a single ticket platform that can operate on the already existing transport/fare systems, so that the different regional Transport Authorities and Mobility Service Providers can use it and include the single ticket service in their mobility offerings.

The single ticket system will have two modalities:

•  Postpaid based on GPS. The passenger will be charged at the end of the journey, according to the means of transport and distances traveled.

•  Prepaid. The passenger will be able to purchase any transport ticket on an e-Commerce platform and will scan the ticket's QR code at the validator.

This ambitious project is long-term, so it will be carried out in different Phases. The first Phase will be implemented in 3 French regions as an initial pilot, limited to open transport networks. In subsequent phases, more territories and more means of transport will be incorporated.
