Roberto Brasero Says When Today's Cold Will Leave, but Makes Another Warning Right Now
Despite the fact that this Saturday is having a much more wintery atmosphere, another twist is coming that will change the trend.
The weekend has begun with a purely winter atmosphere in much of Spain. We don't say this just because of the overcast sky but because the front that arrived this Friday continues to advance across the peninsula. It leaves in its wake a landscape marked by cloudiness, rain, and snow.
This Saturday is a day of widespread instability. With a sky that in many areas isn't allowing the sun to be seen and with precipitation that has been appearing in different parts of the map. A gray and unpleasant atmosphere that reminds us that, although the last few days have been milder, we are still in winter.

Temperatures in Decline: Colder Today
Temperatures aren't cooperating either. Roberto Brasero, an expert in meteorology, already warned that next weekend the thermal values would be more in line with the dates we are in. Colder nights and more contained daytime temperatures.
In most of the country, temperatures have dropped both day and night, with values more typical of late February. However, there is a clear exception: the Mediterranean.
In cities like Málaga, Murcia, Alicante, or Valencia, this Saturday and Sunday maximums between 68 and 73°F (20 and 23°C) can still be reached, states Roberto Brasero. A milder atmosphere will thus be maintained compared to the rest of the territory.

Saturday night into Sunday will be especially cold, with a winter atmosphere that will be felt especially in the interior. Roberto Brasero warns that frosts are expected in the northern plateau and in the central moors, so early risers on Sunday should dress warmly.
Less Cold on Sunday, But Beware: Temperatures Drop Again This Day
Despite the nighttime cold, Sunday will bring a clear recovery of daytime temperatures in almost all of Spain. In cities like Valencia, Córdoba, and Bilbao, thermometers will reach 68°F (20°C). Although in the Mediterranean a slight drop in temperatures is expected and in the Canary Islands there won't be significant changes.

Although next weekend has brought back the winter cold, Roberto Brasero makes it clear that it won't last long. Throughout Sunday, the rains will begin to retreat and with the start of the week, temperatures will begin a new ascent.
But beware, because it doesn't seem like it will last all week. Roberto Brasero warns that by Wednesday we could again have a change, that day there will be a new drop in temperatures. We could return to a more winter-like climate typical of the season.
