Vodafone Steps on the Gas: Sets Off Alarms at Movistar and Orange
Vodafone manages to secure an important contract that Movistar and Orange were also vying for
Vodafone has made a bold move in the telecommunications market, securing a significant contract with the mutual insurance company Asepeyo. This has left its main competitors, Movistar and Orange, uneasy.
In a recent public tender, the red operator has outperformed these giants by securing an important contract. Specifically, for the provision of cloud collaboration services valued at 1.94 million euros.
This victory not only strengthens Vodafone's position in the sector. It also expands its relationship with Asepeyo, which has been a client of its mobile telephony and unified communications solutions since 2022.

Vodafone Sets No Limits
This contract is another step in the close collaboration between Vodafone and Asepeyo. Through this agreement, the telecommunications company will expand its services and provide not only licenses but also cloud solutions that will enhance Asepeyo's productivity and operational efficiency.
The contract will be for three years, although with the option to apply extensions. This ensures Vodafone a long-term collaboration with one of the main mutual insurance companies in Spain.
The public tender launched by Asepeyo aimed to find a provider to supply Google Workspace licenses. This occurred after its previous tender with another operator came to an end. It was in this context that Vodafone presented its proposal, surpassing both Movistar and Orange.

Vodafone Emerges Strengthened
Vodafone has indicated that this new contract strengthens the relationship with Asepeyo and expands the scope of collaboration between both companies. It also consolidates the bond that had already been initiated with mobile connectivity solutions.
Meanwhile, Asepeyo has expressed that this award demonstrates its commitment to innovation and the continuous improvement of its operational efficiency. The mutual insurance company has highlighted that the integration of cloud collaboration services will allow it to optimize its internal processes, in addition to offering better service to its more than 1.5 million members.
This move by Vodafone has caused great concern at Movistar and Orange. They have been outperformed by the former in this tender. Vodafone's victory in this contract not only marks a milestone in the sector but also underscores the operator's ability to compete head-to-head with the big players.
