Neither Rain nor Cold: Roberto Brasero Confirms the Change We're Going to Notice in a Few Hours

It seems that time may take a new significant turn for the end of this last weekend of February.

The last two days have been especially challenging in several areas of Spain. The week began with a spring-like atmosphere but quickly the weather took a radical turn. We have had a much more wintry end of the week with cold, rain and even snow in some parts of the country.

However, it seems that Sunday will mark another change in the weather, although this time many will appreciate it. Roberto Brasero has explained that today we can expect a transition to more stable and pleasant weather.

A Sunday That Begins with Cold and Some Rain

Early in the morning, the front that has brought instability in recent days will continue to affect some points of the Mediterranean. Therefore, Roberto Brasero says that we could still see some rain in the Balearic Islands and Catalonia, although they will become increasingly weaker and tend to subside as the hours go by.

In the rest of the country, the morning will be marked by the presence of clouds and fog, especially in the western peninsula. Fog banks could reduce visibility on some road sections.

Additionally, Roberto Brasero states that the cold will be one of the main features of the Sunday dawn. During the early morning and first hours of the day, frosts have returned to many areas, something that has already been noticeable throughout the weekend.

The lowest temperatures will be recorded in the Pyrenees, where moderate frosts are expected. In the rest of the mountain systems and in some points of the Northern Plateau, the frosts will be weaker but still present.

The Afternoon Brings a New Turn: Roberto Brasero Explains It

The morning will be dominated by cold and some residual rain in the Mediterranean, the most significant change will come in the afternoon, Roberto Brasero assures.

Temperatures, which in the morning will remain wintry in many regions, will begin to rise from noon. The recovery will be widespread in most of the Peninsula. The maximums will experience a notable increase.

However, on the Mediterranean coast and Balearic Islands, the behavior will be different, as in these areas temperatures will drop slightly compared to previous days. Meanwhile, in the Canary Islands, Roberto Brasero assures that no significant changes in thermal values are expected.

Another key element of Sunday will be the reduction of cloudiness. As the hours go by, the sun will prevail in most of the country, leaving a much clearer atmosphere than in previous days.
