Banco Santander's special announcement to all its clients: the rumor is confirmed in 2025
Banco Santander has confirmed it closed 2024 with a record in financial education
Banco Santander has reasons to celebrate. The banking entity has significantly strengthened its commitment to financial education in Spain during 2024. It has closed the year, as reported, with a historic figure of 1,660 training workshops.
This remarkable increase represents 59% more activity compared to 2023. Without a doubt, these figures consolidate Banco Santander as a benchmark in promoting financial literacy.

Banco Santander bets on financial education in Spain
More than 450 volunteer professionals from Banco Santander have dedicated their time and knowledge to the Finanzas para Mortales program. It has become an essential tool, especially for the most financially vulnerable groups.
These workshops have achieved a significant impact. Additionally, they have been specifically designed for different groups, such as the elderly, primary school children, secondary school students, high school and vocational training students. They have also been adapted for people with intellectual disabilities and other at-risk groups.
Since its launch in 2015, Banco Santander has increased the number of financial education workshops by 92%. In 2024, it has increased the number of beneficiaries by 126% compared to the previous year.

In the last decade, it has reached a total of 174,300 participants. This growth demonstrates the success and need for these programs in today's society.
Banco Santander has bet on Galicia
Nationally, Galicia has stood out as the autonomous community with the most training activity. Up to 565 sessions have been held in its municipalities and cities, which represents a 46% increase compared to the previous year. The demand in Galicia has grown steadily, with notable interest from institutions, schools, and NGOs.

It is followed by Castilla y León, with 265 workshops held, and Andalusia, where Banco Santander volunteers have conducted 247 sessions, especially in the provinces of Almería, Jaén, and Seville.
With these results, Banco Santander positions itself as a leader in financial education initiatives in Spain. The banking entity plans to continue expanding its programs, adapting to new needs and challenges that arise. The success of 2024 is just the beginning of a trajectory that promises to continue benefiting thousands of Spaniards.
