'it'll Be a Very... Week': Roberto Brasero Announces What the Storm Will Bring These Days

Roberto Brasero's forecast indicates that these will be days marked by instability with abrupt weather changes.

Roberto Brasero has already warned: instability will continue to mark the weather in Spain in the coming days. After a start to the week with rain in the north, the meteorologist warns that the changes are not over. A cold front will cross the Peninsula from west to east, bringing a widespread drop in temperatures, precipitation in several regions and wind gusts that could be intense in some areas.

The cold will be felt more strongly as the week progresses, especially in the northern half. Additionally, wind and rain will continue to dominate the forecast in many communities. The meteorologist insists that this episode will bring notable variations, with colder days and skies that will change between clouds, clearings and precipitation.

A Front Advances from West to East Bringing Rain and Snow

This Tuesday, the front will cross the Peninsula leaving precipitation in its wake. The rain will be more intense in the northern half and in mountain areas, where there will also be snowfalls. In the Cantabrian Mountains and the Iberian System, snow could appear from 3,937 ft. (1,200 meters).

In the Pyrenees area, the snow level will drop to 2,953 ft. (900 meters), leaving significant accumulations. Catalonia will also record persistent rain, with possible storms in the east. In the rest of the country, precipitation will be weaker, except in the southeast where the sun will continue to prevail.

A Notable Drop in Temperatures and Strong Winds Expected in Several Regions

The cold air arriving after the front will cause a drop in temperatures. This drop will be especially noticeable in the north, although it will affect almost the entire country. Only the southeast, Melilla and the Canary Islands will escape this cooling and could even record slightly higher values.

The wind will also be a protagonist, as strong gusts are expected in the Cantabrian, the lower Ebro and the Ampurdán. Throughout the day, the wind will shift to the north or northwest, giving way to the cierzo and tramontana. This situation will accentuate the wind chill of cold in many areas.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26, the front will continue to bring low temperatures. The early morning will be especially cold, with frost in the central and northern Peninsula. In the rest of the country, although values won't drop below zero, the start of the day will be colder than usual.

Precipitation will be less frequent. Looking ahead to tomorrow, only in the Pyrenees could it snow at the beginning of the day, while in the Balearic Islands some rain could still be recorded. However, high pressure will prevail, leaving clear skies in most of the country.

A Week of Constant Changes

Roberto Brasero is clear: “This will be a very variable week.” Temperatures will fluctuate and the weather will change throughout the days, so the storm will bring clear instability. Thursday could bring a new storm, although the forecast is not yet definitive.

If the forecast is confirmed, Thursday and Friday could see showers in Andalusia. However, uncertainty remains high. What seems certain is that it won't be a week to forget the coat or the umbrella.
