Emma García interrupts 'Fiesta' to deliver an important message: 'It hurts me'

Emma García pauses her program to talk about one of the latest controversies that have arisen on the set of 'Fiesta'

During last week's broadcast of Fiesta, Emma García wanted to take the opportunity to send an important message about the latest controversy that has arisen around her. "It hurts me because we have a series of stereotypes that are thrown around without any intention," the host stated.

It was on January 18 when Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada caused a great stir with the unfortunate comment she made during her visit to this program. That day, the designer talked, among other things, about the personal moment she is going through.

At that moment, the guest confirmed to Emma García that she was moving, but for now, she was still living in her "old" house, which was "dismantled." "I'm living like the gypsies, I haven'thing, no lights, no kitchen, no bathroom, no sofa," she added.

Words that, as expected, have caused a whole wave of criticism toward Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada. The stir was such that, a week later, the host of Fiesta wanted to clarify what had happened.

During the broadcast on January 26, Emma García made it clear that she was not aware of what her guest had just said. For this reason, she had no qualms about publicly apologizing:

"First of all, we perfectly understand the discomfort in the gypsy community. It hurts me because we have a series of stereotypes that are thrown around without any intention, but they cause harm. They continue to be used, and we who work in a public medium and in a program are responsible."

A week after the controversial visit of Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Emma García had no qualms about apologizing for her guest's unfortunate words. In fact, she justified her silence by claiming she hadn't noticed the comment.

That's why, when she found out that some of her colleagues did hear it, the host of Fiesta didn't hesitate to give them a good scolding. "Why didn't you say anything? You know how decisive I am. I wouldn't have missed that kind of comment because it hurts me," she told them.

"We must apologize as many times as necessary. All our respect and all our affection. I say it again because it's my duty as the host of this program," Emma García added.

Finally, the communicator assured the viewers that, during the week, she had contacted Lolita and Pitingo to talk to them. However, although both "understood," the host couldn't help but feel partly responsible for what had happened.
