Cold Shower from Roberto Brasero to More than Half of Spain: 'It'll Be Another Week...'

Roberto Brasero warns that the rain will continue to batter the country following the storm Jana, with another week marked by instability.

Roberto Brasero is one of the most followed figures in the field of meteorology in Spain. His ability to explain atmospheric phenomena in a simple way has made him a reference. However, his latest message has not been well received by those who are hoping for a change in the weather soon.

In recent days, the storm Jana has battered the country with rain, storms, strong winds, snow, and maritime storms. In response to the question of when it will stop raining, Roberto Brasero was blunt. The rainfall will not only continue but could extend until the end of March.

Heavy Rain and Storms in Several Regions

Since last Friday, the storm Jana has kept Spain under an unstable environment. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has warned that the rain will continue to affect the entire peninsula and the Balearic Islands throughout today.

In some areas, the rainfall will be more abundant and could reach strong and persistent intensity. Especially in Catalonia, northern Aragon, Navarra, and western Galicia. Also in Cádiz and Alborán, where there is a probability of more intense storms.

Additionally, up to 11 autonomous communities remain on alert for various meteorological phenomena. Yellow and orange warnings have been activated for storms, strong winds, snowfalls, and adverse waves. The storm Jana has arrived with force, and its impact will continue to be felt.

Roberto Brasero Throws Cold Water with His Latest Forecast: More Rain in March

In this scenario dominated by instability throughout Spain, many are wondering when good weather will return. Roberto Brasero has replied on social media, and his message leaves no room for optimism.

"For now, it doesn't look like it," Roberto Brasero posted on his X account —formerly Twitter—. According to the meteorologist, the upcoming week will be wet again, and the following one could follow the same trend. Additionally, the AEMET has already indicated that the second half of March could be especially rainy.

The AEMET's forecast coincides with Roberto Brasero's. "After the storm Jana next weekend, the coming week will be another wet one. The next one might also have above-average rainfall for those dates," the meteorologist noted.

A Month Marked by Instability

March has begun with a weather pattern that deviates from the expected spring start. The storm Jana has been just the first episode of a month that seems to be marked by instability.

For some sectors, such as agriculture and reservoir supply, this rain is positive. However, for those who were expecting sunny days and milder temperatures, Roberto Brasero's forecast is a cold shower.

If these forecasts are fulfilled, winter will end with gray skies, and spring will start with weather more typical of February. It remains to be seen whether April will bring the change many are hoping for or if instability will continue to dominate the weather outlook.
