The sign language video interpretation, which CaixaBank has begun offering for free, represents a significant advancement. It allows clients with hearing disabilities to receive information about banking products and services. All of this is done through a video call system with a specialized interpreter.

This service has been designed to improve accessibility, transparency and accuracy in communication between bank employees and their clients. It thus avoids possible errors resulting from a lack of fluency in conversation.

How Does CaixaBank's Video Interpretation Service Work?

The SVisual service is available in all CaixaBank branches since this month. There was previously a trial phase that began in December 2024 in 120 branches across the country. Through this service, clients with hearing disabilities can make inquiries, manage their accounts and receive detailed information about financial products.

All of this is done in real-time, with a sign language interpreter available to facilitate communication between both parties. To access this service, clients must request it in advance. They can do so by sending an email to their manager or through the CaixaBank app.

Once the service is activated, the client will be assisted by a specialized interpreter. They will help solve their queries or manage the services they need.
