They Start to Warn for Friday: Alerts Already Activated for Rain and Storms
Many areas should remain alert to the liters that may fall this Friday due to a storm arriving in Spain.
Meteorology experts have already issued the warning:this Friday will be marked by heavy rains in several regions of Spain. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has confirmed the presence of a storm located southwest of the Peninsula.
This situation will cause predominantly cloudy or overcast skies and will bring precipitation to much of the territory, especially in the southern half, the Cantabrian region and the Pyrenees area.

Although the rains will generally be of moderate intensity, in some areas they are expected to be strong and persistent, occasionally joined by storms. The southwestern peninsula and the Alboran Sea area will be the most affected areas. They will have significant water accumulations that could cause incidents in areas sensitive to flooding.
Weather Alerts Active in Andalusia and Ceuta for the Rains
Given the forecast of heavy rains, AEMET has activated yellow alerts in several provinces of Andalusia and in the Autonomous City of Ceuta. These alerts indicate possible significant accumulations, which could cause problems in mobility and in areas prone to flooding.
In Andalusia, the alerts will be in effect in the provinces of Cádiz, Huelva and Málaga, where the rains may be persistent and come with storms. In these areas, accumulations are expected to reach between 0.4 and 0.5 gallons per square yard (15 and 20 liters per square meter) in just one hour. This could cause waterlogging in urban areas and hinder road traffic.
In specific areas of Cádiz and Málaga, weather models indicate that between 1.1 and 1.6 gallons (40 and 60 liters) could accumulate over a 12-hour period. Meanwhile, in Ceuta significant rains are also expected, with accumulations that could reach 1.1 gallons per square yard (40 liters per square meter) in 12 hours.

Evolution of the Storm
According to forecasts, the rains will be more intense in the Strait and Alboran Sea area, mainly affecting provinces in the southwestern peninsula. In points like Cádiz, Málaga, Huelva and Ceuta, the precipitation could last for several hours, increasing the risk of water accumulation in critical points.
Although the storm will remain active throughout Friday, its evolution could cause changes in the intensity and distribution of the rains. Although weather models may adjust in the coming hours, for now the forecast still indicates that the day will be marked by atmospheric instability in much of the south.
