Change of plans at T-Mobile: they leave thousands of Americans wanting more
T-Mobile has decided to eliminate some plans that had been very successful, and there are quite a few people who don't understand the decision
For years, T-Mobile earned the sympathy of many customers in the United States. This was mainly thanks to their transparent, simple plans with no surprises on the bill. One of the most popular was the Go5G plan, a rate that offered an ideal balance between price, benefits, and clarity.
However, in recent months, the company has gradually withdrawn this plan. This has caused discontent among its most loyal users.
Everything began in April, when T-Mobile introduced two new rates: Experience More and Experience Beyond. Although it was not clear at first whether they were meant to directly replace the Go5G plans, the truth is that, little by little, the company gave them more visibility. Now, the inevitable has happened: the Go5G plans have officially disappeared from T-Mobile's digital catalog.

T-Mobile bets on other alternatives
According to the company, the new Experience plans offer more value to customers. However, many believe that this promise may be somewhat misleading. Unlike the Go5G plans, the new plans do not include taxes or fees in the displayed price, which can lead to misunderstandings.
In other words, what previously seemed like a fixed price can now have surprises at the end of the month. By the end of April, it became known that T-Mobile was asking its employees not to offer the Go5G plans, even though they were officially still available "for a limited time." In May, they disappeared from the company's website, although customers could still sign up for them through online chat or by phone.
But as of today, they are no longer even available in T-Mobile's internal systems. This means that only customers who already have a Go5G plan will be able to keep it. New users can no longer activate it, unless they contact customer service directly and get lucky.
In addition, there are more changes to the rates. Since June 18, the plans for watches and tablets will also stop including taxes and fees. Now, T-Mobile will only offer versions of these plans in which those costs are added separately.

As a result, some customers may see old rates with taxes included mixed with new ones that do not have them on their account. This could cause confusion in the monthly billing.
Unexpected turn at T-Mobile
For many, this represents a major shift from the approach T-Mobile had been promoting since 2017. At that time, their slogan was clear: "What you see is what you pay." This has left many with the feeling of having lost one of the few truly transparent rates on the market.
The Go5G plans were a highly valued option. Although technically they can still be activated by calling the operator, the process has become so complicated that many customers feel frustrated. The company that once promised to simplify the world of telecommunications now seems to be playing the same game as the rest.
