Confirmed: FDA issues last-minute warning about these products in the USA
The FDA warns about certain products available in stores in the United States and recommends caution
In the United States, concern about food safety has intensified in recent weeks. Oversight of product labeling and food allergies is becoming increasingly relevant. Consumers and retailers are paying close attention to alerts that could affect their health and businesses.
Recently, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an official warning. This alert originated after the voluntary recall of several bakery products manufactured in Mexico by the company Novacab S.A. de C.V., due to a labeling error.

Affected products and health risks
The reason is a labeling error that did not correctly indicate the presence of goat's milk, a potentially dangerous allergen. This error can be serious for people with allergies, since the milk was not accurately identified, which violates labeling regulations.
Among the recalled products are several from the Suspiros brand, such as Tres Leches Cajeta, Choco, Chocoflan, Mazapán, Alemán, Queso Coyota, 4 Leches, as well as cajeta cupcakes. These were distributed mainly in California, Arizona, and Texas, in supermarkets and self-service stores. Each batch is identified in the FDA database by UPC codes, which makes their location and recall easier, reveals Mundo Deportivo.
Although the FDA classified this situation as a Class III risk, meaning a low probability of causing serious effects, inaccurate labeling remains a serious problem. Milk, one of the nine main allergens according to U.S. legislation, must be clearly indicated. People allergic to goat's milk may experience anything from hives and nausea to anaphylaxis, a reaction that can be fatal.

How to act and FDA recommendations
To avoid risks, the FDA provides on their website a public list where consumers can check the affected products by company, ingredient, or even by date. In addition, UPC codes can be reviewed to identify the recalled batches and verify if the recall process is complete. This measure makes it easier for consumers to stay informed and act with caution.
Authorities recommend reading labels carefully before purchasing and, in case of doubt, discarding any suspicious product. They also advise consulting a doctor if symptoms appear after consuming these foods. Distributors and retailers have been urged to immediately remove the affected products and cooperate with authorities to ensure traceability.
This FDA notice underscores the importance of clear and accurate labeling to protect those with food allergies. Collaboration among companies, regulators, and consumers is key to avoiding unnecessary risks. Oversight and information are the best tools to keep public health.
