This Is Sánchez's New Favor to Puigdemont

The Mossos d'Esquadra will assume the management of security in Catalan ports and airports starting in September.

Sánchez and Puigdemont remain on everyone's lips. Núria Parlon, head of the Interior Department, has revealed that the Mossos d'Esquadra will take over security management at Catalan ports and airports starting in September. This measure won't be implemented earlier due to the lack of available personnel.

This has been confirmed by Vozpópuli. Parlon has stated that it is a "reasonable" decision and a management that they will share with the Civil Guard and the National Police.

Despite this, she hasn't clarified if Junts is willing to accept these conditions. On that, she mentioned that "negotiations are always like this, you have to reach a common denominator."

Parlon has emphasized that the fact that Catalonia assumes more responsibilities is beneficial for the community. However, she has warned that, for these attributions to be truly effective, it is essential to increase the number of officers.

In this regard, she has urged the neo-convergents to show the same determination to demand more personnel as they do when demanding new responsibilities. According to her calculations, the Mossos d'Esquadra force should reach 25,000 officers.

Given this scenario, she considers that September of this year is a reasonable timeframe to implement the changes. This is because, currently, the Catalan police don't have the necessary resources to take on more functions.

Puigdemont's Former Counselor Accused of 'Sexual Harassment'

Recently, it was revealed that Toni Comín's former advisor has filed a complaint against the former MEP with the Advisory Committee of the European Parliament. This, accusing him of sexual and psychological harassment.

The complainant, who worked for seven years in Brussels as an assistant for Junts, claims to have been a victim of inappropriate touching, insinuations, and proposals, including the suggestion to have relationships with third parties. Additionally, he claims that Comín went as far as to question him about his intimate life with his wife.

The complaint not only points to sexual behavior but also describes a work environment marked by humiliating treatment, with episodes of anger and threats of unjustified dismissal. According to the report presented, these incidents allegedly extended over several years. This, until the alleged victim decided to leave his position after the European elections on July 9.

Despite this, Comín has denied the accusations. He stated "with absolute certainty" that he hasn't committed any act of harassment or mistreatment. This toward the former Junts advisor who has reported him to the European Parliament.
