This Is How They Found the Box With Information on the Koldo Case That Sets Off Alarms
The documents related to the Koldo case have been found in the court where the case is being instructed.
The Koldo case experiences a new stir. This comes after a box was found at the National Court, related to documents from the Koldo case.
Inside are files linked to both former ministerial advisor Koldo García and his brother, Joseba García. However, the most important aspect of this discovery has been the condition of the box.

According to the diligence, the box contained up to five documents. These were seized during previous searches and had been "unsealed, sealed, and foliated at the time".
According to Europa Press, it is considered that this finding could imply a breach in the chain of custody of the seized material. This could lead to an appeal by the defenses, questioning the validity of the documentation within the judicial process.

What's Inside the Box?
The box sent to the UCO of the Civil Guard contained various items seized in the framework of the Koldo case. Among them, a bag with 14 stamps found in the office of the investigated Javier Serrano and César Moreno. Also, a flash drive seized at Koldo García's residence and a Civil Guard tie with the old logo of the corps and the emblem of the Information Headquarters.
Additionally, an envelope with information on the identification and location of a pet and a black zippered case were found. These objects were seized during the searches conducted on February 20, 2024, as part of Operation Delorme. In which alleged irregular commissions in the awarding of public contracts for the purchase of masks during the pandemic are being investigated.
The discovery of this box, more than a year after those searches, could raise doubts about the chain of custody of the material. This could be subject to future appeals by the defenses.
New Twist in Anti-Corruption That Corners Ábalos and the Awards in Transport
Anti-corruption agents continue investigating and now focus on Ábalos's tenure as minister.
It should be remembered the procedure began by investigating the million-dollar pandemic contracts to the company Soluciones de Gestión. Now it directly points to awards by Pedro Sánchez's government. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has informed José Luis Ábalos of this, within the framework of the case being pursued against him in the high court.
In a document accessed by LA RAZÓN, the Public Prosecutor warns that the procedure includes new angles. Among them, the contracts of the Ministry of Transport awarded during Ábalos's tenure (2018-2021).
This way, the focus is on the public works awards granted by the department currently led by Óscar Puente. But according to Víctor de Aldama, they were rigged to facilitate them to friendly companies in exchange for million-dollar kickbacks.
"It is indeed necessary to clarify that the object of the present special case is not limited to the 'mask issue'. As erroneously claimed in the appeal, but extends to the contracting of MITMA during the period when Ábalos was minister. For ultimately it is he, in his capacity as a privileged person, who gives unity to the present investigation".
This is stated in the document signed by the chief anti-corruption prosecutor.
