
Colmenar Viejo Invests More Than €177,000 in Park and Playground Renovations
The job focuses on the replacement of fencing for sports courts, children's areas, and green zones
The Department of Environment and Sustainability is executing a series of improvements in various parks and green spaces in Colmenar Viejo. These interventions include the renovation of fences in sports courts, children's areas, and green zones, as well as the replacement of rubber in several play areas and the installation of new artificial grass.
In total, the budget allocated for these works amounts to 177,290.41 euros.
Fence Replacement
As part of these actions, the fencing is being renewed in four sports facilities that show advanced deterioration due to continuous use:
- Sports area on Clara Campoamor Street.
- Moncayo Park courts.
- Prado Tito Street courts.
- Fundaciones Street courts.
Additionally, the colored fences in two children's areas are being replaced due to wear:
- Children's area on Avenida de Andalucía.
- Children's area on Berruguete Street.
Moreover, other improvements related to the safety and conservation of green spaces are planned. A protective fence will be installed in the parking lot on Sierra de Cazorla Street to preserve the trees and a fall protection fence on the wall of El Ventorro Park.
Assigned budget: 65,999.54 euros.
Rubber Pavement Renewal in Children's Areas
Over time, the rubber pavement in several play areas has suffered significant wear. To ensure the safety of the little ones, it is being renewed in the following spaces:
- Santiago Esteban Junquer Park.
- Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park.
- El Ventorro Park.
- Children's area on Prado Tito Street.
- Children's area on Juan Pablo II Street.
- Children's area at Ermita de la Soledad.
- Doctor Bachir Park.
- Children's area on Clara Campoamor Street.
Allocated budget: 98,464.96 euros.
Artificial Grass Replacement
Meanwhile, the blue artificial grass surrounding the children's play area in Fuente Santa Park, located between Almería Street and Cádiz Street, will be renewed.
Assigned budget: 12,826 euros.
With these improvements, the Department aims to optimize the recreational infrastructures of Colmenar Viejo, ensuring safer and better-conditioned spaces for the enjoyment of residents.
