Report Pro-eta Demonstrations With Minors in Tribute to Two Eta Murderers

One of these tributes took place just one day after the 33rd anniversary of the attack in which she was involved

The Abertzale Left continues with its disdainful attitude toward the victims of terrorism. They celebrate in public events and through demands for the release of ETA members.

This past weekend, according to the Collective of Victims of Terrorism (Covite), gatherings were held in different towns in the Basque Country. All of them to demand the release of two ETA members convicted of murder.

One of these tributes took place in the Achondo Valley (Biscay), where pro-ETA supporters gathered. With the aim of paying tribute to Dolores López Resina, an ETA member convicted of murder. Her victims: Antonio Ricondo Somoza, Eutimio Gómez Gómez, and Julia Ríos in Santander in 1992.

Eutimio Gómez Gómez, a heating and gas specialist technician at a hospital in Santander for almost 20 years. He was murdered when he was returning home with his wife.

Ricondo, who was driving in the opposite direction, died five days after the attack. Additionally, 20 people were injured in the attack.

Known as "Lola," López Resina was part of an ETA commando responsible for several attacks. She has been one of the bloodiest figures of the terrorist organization. Her criminal record also includes other failed attacks and her active participation in ETA's terror strategy during the 90s.

This tribute took place just one day after the 33rd anniversary of the attack in which she was involved. Something that causes even more pain to the victims and their families. On the banner carried by ETA sympathizers, the message read: "The struggle is worth it."

Another similar event took place in Irún, where a group of Abertzales gathered to demand the release of Iratxe Sorzabal. She is the last leader of ETA. Sorzabal, considered a key figure in the terrorist organization, is serving a sentence for her involvement in several attacks and her high position within the group.

Since Arnaldo Otegi renewed his leadership in EH Bildu, he has continued with the "glorification of ETA members." Otegi, who was convicted for his connection with ETA, has strengthened his discourse to praise the terrorists. Consolidating his leadership within radical independence, but avoiding a strong condemnation of ETA's violence.

He even published a message in honor of IRA terrorist Brenda McFarlane, who recently died. According to Covite, McFarlane was responsible for the Bayardo pub bombing in 1975, where five people died and more than 50 were injured.

"We are not surprised by the solidarity between ETA and the IRA, as they have been allies and shared strategies," indicate the victims' collective. They also warn that Fermín Muguruza plans to hold a concert in Ireland with the support of "Gerry Adams," a former IRA leader.
