These Are the High-ranking Officials Who Defend Sánchez's Brother's Innocence
After the news of his departure, many defended the musician's work
Sánchez's brother remains in the spotlight. Let's remember that David Sánchez left the high-ranking position he held in the Badajoz Provincial Council as Head of the Performing Arts Office. This is a decision he made "unilaterally" in the midst of the investigation that surrounds him.
An investigation for alleged crimes against the Public Administration and the Public Treasury, including embezzlement, influence peddling and misappropriation, which is being investigated by Beatriz Biedma.
After the news of his departure, many defended the musician's work. This despite the fact that even the judge herself sees alleged irregularities in the case.

First, the president of the Provincial Council, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, stands out, who attributes this situation to a "persecution" for being the president's brother. It should be noted that he said all this while Gallardo himself is under investigation for his alleged involvement in the appointment of Sánchez, supposedly chosen directly.
Ricardo Cabezas, Deputy for Culture, Sports and Youth of the Provincial Council, has supported David Sánchez's management at the head of the Young Opera project. More specifically, he has assured that this "will continue forward".
Cabezas expressed his regret over the fact that, according to him, Sánchez has been a victim of a "pack of fascists". This, according to him, simply for "having the last name he has".
Also noteworthy are the statements of Pilar Alegría, Minister of Education and Government spokesperson. After the complaint became known, the socialist was clear: "They are persecuting him". In her view, for the only crime of being a relative of the President of the Government.

"Here the only thing there is an honest person, who has an education, with an extensive curriculum, who applied for a position. He won it for his skills and yet has been subjected to this persecution by ultra organizations," explained the staunch defender of Pedro Sánchez.
These opinions do not align with the person behind the investigation and who is seeing the case so closely: Biedma herself. More specifically, she published a devastating order that embarrassed the musician himself.
In the document, Judge Biedma states that "everything seems to indicate that the position was created to be assigned to Mr. Sánchez," she explains. Thus, emphasis is placed on "the unnecessary nature of his functions very soon, as it was not arranged for him to be replaced by another worker during his leave of absence and paternity leave".
This way, she would be talking about Sánchez's brother having allegedly accessed his position in the Badajoz Provincial Council directly.
In addition, she points out that "the existing indications of criminality have been corroborated by the investigative proceedings already carried out". The judge theorizes that, from the beginning, there is favoritism toward Sánchez's brother.
