Former boss speaks out about Maestre's attempted assault: 'He tried to hit me twice'
PR Noticias's director, Pedro Aparicio, has given an exclusive interview to EDATV to share the facts
The controversial assault by Antonio Mestre against EDATV journalists, Vito Quiles and Juan Pulido, continues to make headlines. The director of PR Noticias, Pedro Aparicio, has given an interview to EDATV where he revealed a violent episode involving the journalist that he personally experienced.
Habla el ex jefe al que intentó agredir Maestre: "Entró a mi despacho para darme dos hostias"
Pedro Aparicio, who was Antonio Maestre's boss during his time at PR Noticias, recounted that the journalist already exhibited aggressive behavior during his tenure as a writer. "Maestre came to my office shouting that he was going to give me two slaps," Aparicio explains.
"He was always corrected because he didn't respect the newspaper's editorial line. He tried to inject his ideology into everything he wrote. He was a journalist who caused many internal conflicts," Aparicio highlighted during the exclusive interview for EDATV.
Aparicio also mentioned how other colleagues also complained about the commentator's attitude. He claims they described him as "lazy" due to the little interest he showed in his work.
The tension kept escalating. "Maestre is a fascist because he has demonstrated it, that was not what we taught him nor what he learned here. He passed through the newspaper without leaving a mark."
According to Aparicio, Maestre burst into his office one day shouting: "I'm here to give you two slaps." Aparicio, undeterred, replied: "You're going to suck my dick."
The testimony of the director of PR Noticias further reinforces the terrible image that Antonio Maestre has. The assault against the EDATV journalists has been the last straw for many who have opposed him.
The attack on Vito Quiles and Juan Pulido sparked controversy on social media against the left-wing journalist. In the footage, it was clearly seen how Maestre snatched the microphone from Quiles's hands, only to then throw it into the street. The viralization of the video provoked a wave of criticism toward the commentator.
Antonio Maestre is no stranger to controversy. Throughout his career, he has been involved in numerous confrontations with other journalists and public figures. The one against the journalists of this outlet has become one of the most controversial due to the fronts that have opened against him.
