Ribera Salud Boosts Its Expansion With New Acquisitions and Skyrockets Its Revenue

The Valencian healthcare group Ribera Salud, a subsidiary of the French company Vivalto Santé since 2022, has increased its revenue in 2023 to 808.22 million euros.

The Valencian healthcare group Ribera Salud, a subsidiary since 2022 of the French company Vivalto Santé, has increased its revenue in 2023 to 808.22 million euros, representing a 37.7% increase compared to the previous year. The company, led by Alberto de Rosa, has consolidated its growth with the acquisition of new healthcare centers, both nationally and internationally.

The expansion strategy has allowed the group to significantly reduce its losses, which went from 27 million euros in 2022 to 1.39 million last year. Among the most notable operations of 2023 is the purchase of the IMSKE center specialized in traumatology, located in Valencia, as well as the acquisition of Cardiosalus, a group of clinics in the Region of Murcia specialized in cardiovascular diseases.

Ribera Salud's growth accelerated in 2024 with its entry into new regions such as Aragón and Asturias, where it has incorporated the HC Miraflores and Covadonga hospitals, in addition to several affiliated clinics. It has also strengthened its presence in Galicia and the Valencian Community with the integration of polyclinics in A Coruña, Viveiro-Lugo, and L'Eliana.

Internationally, the company has strengthened its presence in Portugal with the management of the public hospital in Cascais, and has taken a new step with the acquisition of the MediCentrum clinic in Prague, specialized in post-surgical rehabilitation.

Despite its growth, Ribera Salud remains involved in legal processes related to the liquidation of healthcare concessions reversed by the Generalitat Valenciana. The company has appealed resolutions on the outstanding payments of the Elche-Crevillente, Torrevieja, and Marina Salud hospitals, which total more than 100M euros, while it continues to await judicial resolutions.

The healthcare group, which currently manages 14 hospitals, more than 60 polyclinics, and 14 Primary Care centers, is consolidating itself as one of the main private operators in the healthcare sector in Spain, with a clear commitment to expansion and internationalization.
