Óscar López's Deep Sorrow After Learning About Sánchez's Brother's Resignation

The minister and Madrid socialist leader attributes Sánchez's brother's resignation to the 'mud-slinging campaigns'

Óscar López has been greatly affected after David Sánchez's resignation. The general secretary of PSOE in Madrid acknowledges being "saddened and outraged" after learning about this resignation.

He claims it is all the fault, once again, of "mud" campaigns that end up impacting the lives of "honest people." While saying this about Sánchez's brother, he attacked Ayuso for, according to him, "Opaque penthouses allegedly paid for with illegal commissions."

But in his eagerness to staunchly defend the 'brother,' he has also lashed out against what he considers "far-right organizations." This is how he addressed Manos Limpias and Hazte Oír.

Undoubtedly, and as Óscar López himself has conveyed, he is "saddened and outraged."

A resignation that occurs amid an investigation with evidence placing him in the spotlight of justice. However, there is now a budget hanging in the air. And it seems that no company is willing, for the moment, to take on the contract.

All after the Legislature de Badajoz presented the budgets for the next year last Tuesday, January 28.

The program directed by the brother of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. This public entity is currently under investigation by Judge Beatriz Biedma and the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard.

However, it has been known that the Legislature did decide to continue with Sánchez's brother's opera project. They did so despite the judicial process that focuses on the creation of his job position. The Investigative Court number 3 of the province is investigating whether his access to the Legislature of Badajoz in 2017 as Coordinator of Conservatories was legal.

In total, the administration offers 373,125 euros (308,367 without VAT) broken down in 2025 and 2026 to contract future works. According to the newspaper El Independiente, this amount, in 2025, 151,859 euros will be allocated to the main opera. Meanwhile, 28,925 will be for the children's-family opera and another 8,264 for educational activities, totaling 189,049 for this year.

Additionally, for 2026, the Legislature offers 100,227 euros for the main tour and 19,090 for the children's-family tour. This results in 119,318, which, added to the 2025 amount, reaches 373,125 euros.

The document, accessed by EDATV, has been issued by the Contractual Management Service of the Area of Economy, Finance, Purchases, and Heritage. It explains that the Young Opera project has been carried out since 2019 and confirms that it will be repeated in 2025.
