Pepe Gosálbez (vox) Reinforces His Commitment to La Albufera De Valencia

The release of 15 new specimens of the marbled teal has been carried out in Racó de l’Olla, framed within the LIFE program for wetland recovery.

VOX councilor in Valencia's City Council, Pepe Gosálbez, has led the release of 15 new specimens of the marbled teal in Racó de l’Olla, framed within the LIFE wetland recovery program. This action, driven by the municipal government, reaffirms the party's commitment to environmental conservation with actions and not just words.

The marbled teal, a bird in danger of extinction due to wetland degradation, has been reintroduced into its natural habitat thanks to this project. So far this year, 30 specimens have been released, first in acclimatization cages and later in their natural environment.

"The protection of Albufera and Devesa is a priority for this government and today we demonstrate it with another concrete action. It's not just about speeches but about a real investment in the conservation of our natural heritage," Gosálbez highlighted.

The initiative fits with the environmental protection strategy carried out by VOX in the city of Valencia, which includes the recovery of Albufera with an investment of 8.7 million euros and the cleaning of Devesa areas near buildings. These actions benefit both biodiversity and the 1,500 residents who live in the area in winter and the more than 6,000 who inhabit it in summer.

"At VOX we defend environmental protection with real actions. We will continue working in this line to ensure that our ecosystem is preserved for future generations," Gosálbez concluded.
