New Twist by Anticorruption That Corners Ábalos and the Awards in Transport
The Public Prosecutor's Office warns that the procedure includes the contracts of the Ministry of Transport
The Koldo case continues to add data. Anti-corruption agents continue to investigate and now focus on Ábalos's tenure as minister.
It should be remembered that the procedure began by investigating the pandemic's million-dollar contracts awarded to the company Soluciones de Gestión. It now directly points to awards by Pedro Sánchez's government. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has informed José Luis Ábalos of this within the framework of the case being pursued against him in the high court.

In a document accessed by LA RAZÓN, the Public Prosecutor's Office warns that the procedure includes new angles. Among them are the contracts from the Ministry of Transport awarded during Ábalos's tenure (2018-2021).
This way, the spotlight is on the public works awards granted by the department currently led by Óscar Puente. But according to Víctor de Aldama, they were rigged to facilitate them to friendly companies in exchange for million-dollar kickbacks.

"It is indeed necessary to clarify that the object of this special case is not limited to the 'mask issue.' As erroneously claimed in the appeal, it extends to the contracting of MITMA during the period when Ábalos was minister. Ultimately, it is he, in his capacity as a privileged person, who gives unity to this investigation."
This is stated in the document signed by the chief anti-corruption prosecutor.
Jessica and Ábalos's Former Number Three Will Testify Soon in the ''Koldo Case''
The Supreme Court begins a crucial week in the investigation of the Koldo case, with the testimony of Jésica Rodríguez, former partner of José Luis Ábalos, and Jesús Manuel Gómez, former Undersecretary of Transport. These appearances aim to clarify the corruption accusations surrounding the former minister and his circle.
On Tuesday, Jesús Manuel Gómez, who was dismissed after an audit on mask contracts during the pandemic, will open the round of testimonies. Gómez has previously stated that Koldo García provided him with offers from companies like Soluciones de Gestión SL for the acquisition of sanitary material. Additionally, he has indicated that García's instructions were considered as directives from the minister himself.
On Wednesday, it will be Jésica Rodríguez's turn, whose relationship with Ábalos has sparked interest due to possible benefits obtained during his administration. Contracts in public companies and possible links to the illegal commissions scheme are being investigated. Her testimony could provide details about the former minister's involvement in the investigated activities.
These statements occur in a context where Víctor de Aldama, businessman and alleged leader of the scheme, has presented documents to Judge Leopoldo Gómez. Among them are rental receipts for tourist apartments where meetings with politicians and international figures were allegedly held. Aldama has also provided evidence of alleged rigging in the awarding of public contracts related to the Ministry of Transport.
The investigation has led the judge to impose precautionary measures on Ábalos, including the withdrawal of his passport and the obligation to appear every 15 days. These actions reflect the seriousness of the accusations and the court's determination to clarify the facts.
In addition to the statements from Gómez and Rodríguez, the appearance of other key witnesses is expected in the coming days. Among them is the businesswoman who claimed to have delivered 90,000 euros at the PSOE headquarters at Aldama's indication. These testimonies will be crucial to determine the veracity of the accusations and the degree of involvement of those investigated.
