Sánchez's mother takes advantage of Ayuso's subsidies
The president's mother receives a grant from the Community of Madrid to improve energy efficiency
Pedro Sánchez has been engaged in a tough battle against the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. The continuous attacks from the PSOE toward the Madrid president have occurred throughout practically the entire legislature.
However, despite demonizing Ayuso's figure, a shocking piece of news has come to light. Pedro Sánchez's mother has turned to the Community of Madrid to request a subsidy that, moreover, has been granted to her.
It is an aid to improve the energy efficiency of her home, amounting to 3,000 euros (3,000 euros). It is a subsidy granted by the Ministry of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure. Specifically, she applied to a program called 'Access to Housing and Promotion of Construction.'
Sánchez's mother received the subsidy on July 11, 2024.
The truth is that Pedro Sánchez's mother, Magdalena Pérez-Castejón, has always been in the background and out of the spotlight. Although it is true that she has been seen in the Congress of Deputies at times.
It should be remembered that Magdalena was appointed as the representative of the company Playbol, which her husband founded.
It is not the first time that the Sánchez-Castejón family has received some type of subsidy. Let's remember that during the pandemic, the company received almost one million euros (one million euros) in public aid from the Ministry of Economy.
The Tax Agency recorded several cash transactions before the donation. In 2021, Sánchez Fernández declared having 48,948.42 euros (48,948.42 euros) in cash, a figure that increased to 198,009.63 euros (198,009.63 euros) in 2022. This was reported by El Debate.
Since Pedro Sánchez assumed the presidency, he has withdrawn 2.5 million euros (2.5 million euros) from the company.
In April of the past 2024, EDATV also reported the growth of Pedro Sánchez's father's company. The factory of Sánchez's father has grown exponentially with him in Moncloa.
At that time, it had twenty permanent employees, two more than the previous year. The public aid of 2021 was in the form of loans. These were authorized by the Government so that Spanish companies could mitigate the effects of the coronavirus on the business fabric.
These, added to those received in 2020, total 960,959 euros (960,959 euros). In addition to the ICO, under the management of Nadia Calviño at the time they were authorized, the Spanish Reinsurance Company of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism also provided funds.
It should be noted that Sánchez's father founded Playbol in 1977.
Sánchez's father no longer manages the day-to-day operations of the factory. But he earns income through the corporation of which he is an administrator. Hence the payments the businessman makes to him for the rent of the warehouse where the factory is located.
