The President of the Castellón Provincial Council, Marta Barrachina, has highlighted the importance of innovation, technological development, and the quality of the ceramic cluster in the 49th edition of the Alfa de Oro Award, granted by the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass (SECV).
Barrachina participated in the presentation of the prestigious award, which this year recognized Grupo STN for its innovative energy recovery system based on the reuse of combustion gases caused during the ceramic manufacturing process. The event took place within the framework of the Cevisama fair, a key event for the industry.
"The Alfa de Oro Award is synonymous with commitment, innovation, development, and progress in the ceramic and glass industry, a commitment that is firmly rooted in the sector of our province," stated the President of the Provincial Council.
Meanwhile, Barrachina emphasized the work of the Spanish Society of Ceramics and Glass for continuing to promote these awards, which foster scientific, technological, and artistic creativity within the sector. "These awards not only recognize excellence but also enhance the prestige of our ceramic industry nationally and internationally," she stated.
The presentation of the award marked the beginning of Cevisama, which brings together the main players in the ceramic sector. Additionally, on Thursday, February 27, the official ceremony for the delivery of the minutes, reports, and documentation of the 2025 Alfa de Oro Award to the Onda City Council will be held, for its custody in the Manolo Safont Tile Museum, thus reinforcing the legacy of innovation in the province of Castellón.
