Ayuso's Community of Madrid leads Spain in job creation.

Madrid has managed to increase the number of employed people by nearly 82,000.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso has achieved it. The President of the Community of Madrid has managed to make her city the refuge region and leads in job creation throughout Spain.

Considering the data from the last quarter of 2024, the Community of Madrid has managed to increase the number of employed people by nearly 82,000 individuals. This data represents a growth of 2.4%, thus surpassing the figures for Spain.

Regarding the numbers for Spain, they have barely increased by 0.2%, which is approximately 34,800 individuals. This confirms what has been explained: Ayuso's Madrid leads over Sánchez's Spain in terms of employment.

Madrid with the Shortest Waiting Times

According to the data on surgical waiting lists of the National Health System (SNS) for June 2024, Madrid has achieved very good results. It remains the community with the shortest delays for surgical operations. Specifically, 74 days below the national average, which stands at 121 days.

After the Community of Madrid, the territories with the shortest waiting times for an operation are the Basque Country with 61 days, La Rioja with 64 days, and Galicia with 71 days. The Community of Madrid also reduced its waiting times compared to December by 4 days.

Throughout the national territory, 848,340 patients are awaiting an operation. This is a 3.4% increase compared to the same month in 2023, with an average waiting time for surgery of 121 days, 9 days more than a year ago.

In Madrid, 70,286 people are waiting for an operation. The Community also presents the lowest rate per inhabitant in the entire national territory, with 10.06 per 1,000.

Despite bearing greater hospital pressure. Following Madrid is the Basque Country, with a rate of 10.18 patients per 1,000 inhabitants; the Balearic Islands, with 10.37; and the Valencian Community, with 10.90.

Additionally, Madrid is also a leader in the shortest waiting time for almost all surgical interventions. It is the best in General and Digestive Surgery with 43 days; ENT (Otorhinolaryngology): 52 days, and Traumatology: 48 days.

Meanwhile, Urology: 44 days; Cardiac Surgery: 35 days; Maxillofacial Surgery with 52 days; Plastic Surgery, with 57 days, and Neurosurgery, 58 days.
