The judge in the Errejón case focuses on how much Mouliáa was paid for his interviews
The instructor has also addressed Sumar to provide the 'internal information' they have available.
The Errejón case takes a new turn with the judge's request. The magistrate, who is investigating Errejón for an alleged sexual assault, has asked Sumar for the internal investigation they conducted.
However, he has requested Mediaset to detail how much actress Elisa Mouliaá was paid for the interviews given after accusing the former deputy.
Judge Adolfo Carretero, has included in an order, published by Europa Press, a series of proceedings requested by Errejón. But also by actress Elisa Mouliaá.
Specifically, he asks Sumar "to exclusively provide the internal information they have regarding" Errejón. All "in relation to the facts" being investigated in the case, "and they must refrain from sending any information that is not related to this case."
In this resolution, the judge asks Producciones Mandarina SL to certify the "amounts paid to Mouliaá." This is regarding her television appearance on January 17, as well as to send "the contract that may have been signed" for the same.
He has also asked Unicorn Content SL and Mediaset to send the signed contracts for the actress's interviews. Additionally, on different dates since October 24. But he has also shown interest in knowing if there is any "exclusivity" commitment.
The key step by the judge handling the 'Errejón case' that no one expected
Judge Adolfo Carretero, head of the Court of Instruction Number 47 of Madrid, has made a surprising and crucial decision in the 'Errejón case'. The magistrate investigating the former spokesperson of Sumar Íñigo Errejón for an alleged sexual assault has made an important announcement.
Carretero has communicated that he will seek protection from the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ). This measure arises from the flood of criticism he has received for the tone and questions he asked Elisa Mouliaá, the complainant, during her interrogation.
The sessions of actress Mouliaá, and of Errejón himself, took place on January 16 and were disseminated, days later, on social media. The protection Carretero seeks aims to shield himself from the accusations that have affected his role as a judge.
The criticisms have grown following the opening of a proceeding by the CGPJ. In it, it was announced that more than 900 complaints filed against the magistrate will be reviewed.
The trigger for this situation was the interrogation the judge conducted with Elisa Mouliaá. The actress reported being sexually assaulted by the former Sumar leader in September 2021.
As can be seen in the images, Carretero repeatedly questioned Mouliaá's version during the hearing, even casting doubt on her testimony. Judge Adolfo Carretero has decided to request the Prosecutor's Office to open an investigation into the leak of the videos of the statements of both Íñigo Errejón and Elisa Mouliaá.
These videos reached the media, sparking a media storm. The magistrate believes that this dissemination of the recordings compromises the investigation and has requested clarification on who was behind this leak.
This decision by Carretero to seek protection from the CGPJ and open an investigation into the leak marks an unexpected turn in an already tense case. The 'Errejón case', which initially began as a sexual assault complaint, has escalated into a topic of great interest.
The upcoming decisions by the CGPJ and the Prosecutor's Office will be key in determining how the investigation progresses. All this while Errejón continues to maintain his innocence.
