AEMET has raised the alert level to red in the southern interior area of Castellón. The meteorological situation has caused concerns about the intensity of the rainfall.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the rain will affect much of the Valencian Community until Thursday. The rainstorm could be of strong or very strong intensity in some areas. It is recommended to avoid traveling in the south of Castellón due to possible water accumulation on the roads.

The Valencia City Council has decided to suspend classes in all the southern districts, which include Castellar-Oliveral, El Palmar, El Perellonet, El Saler, Faitanar, Forn d’Alcedo, La Torre, and Pinedo.

The measure will apply both this Monday and Tuesday. The authorities have requested that schools allow students to leave early today, Monday, if possible.
