Yolanda Díaz's former deputy imprisoned for 'sexual assault' wrote about feminism
Another 'staunch feminist' from Yolanda Díaz's circle is involved in an alleged sexual assault case
The case of who was Yolanda Díaz's number two has caused a whole avalanche of critical comments around the "feminist" party. Xosé Xabier Ron, who was the trusted man of the Minister of Labor in the Galician Parliament, was sent to prison for an alleged sexual assault. But what is truly chilling is that the alleged assailant of a minor was writing books about feminism.
The man who portrayed himself as a staunch feminist, dressed in purple and supposedly defending the protection of women, turned out to be quite the opposite, according to his arrest. Xosé Xabier Ron was writing and translating feminist books,
The French teacher Xabier Ron translated the work Diario dunha sufraxista by historian Nicole Cadène into Galician. His work wasn't limited to translating the original content. He also adapted relevant articles published in the press to highlight the importance of the political work of the feminist Hubertine Auclert, the protagonist of the book.

Last year, Ron presented this translation at the Compostela Book Fair, highlighting his work as an expert in philology. The publisher emphasized his role in spreading Auclert's thought in Galician.
In addition to this work, Ron has collaborated with Irene Tomé on Os exilios que somos, a book that combines verses and photography to reflect on historical memory. Within this publication, the poem Escribide por elas is included, dedicated to keeping alive the memory of prominent women in history.
The teacher is currently at the center of controversy after being accused of an alleged sexual assault on a minor.
Prison for the former deputy close to Yolanda Díaz for sexual assault
Judge Ana López-Suevos, head of the Court of Instruction number 1 of Santiago de Compostela, has ordered provisional prison for Ron. This is for his alleged involvement in a sexual assault on a minor.
The decision was made after his arrest last Tuesday. Also after the searches carried out at the Breamo Secondary Education Institute in Pontedeume (La Coruña), where he works as a French teacher.
The magistrate made this decision after the former deputy of the Galician Parliament appeared before the justice this Thursday at 8:30. Ron had spent the night in police custody at the Milladoiro Civil Guard station.

The complaint was filed by the mother of the minor who, it is alleged, was the victim of the sexual assault. As a result, the court ordered the search of two homes belonging to Yolanda Díaz's former colleague. Also the seizure of his technological material, including his mobile phone and computer, in the presence of the investigated.
During the inspection, the Civil Guard's Judicial Police tried to determine if these devices were for the exclusive use of Xabier Ron. However, the management of the educational center ruled out this possibility, indicating that the computers were available for use by all teachers.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education of the Xunta de Galicia opened a disciplinary file against Ron, who is already listed as investigated in the judicial process.
Additionally, Judge López-Suevos decided that Ron should not continue teaching at the school. This will allow another teacher to be assigned to ensure the continuity of the French classes, the subject he taught.
