The Event Organized by Psoe in Which Begoña Gómez Participated

Begoña Gómez continues to make headlines in the media. The municipality of Arroyomolinos de León (Huelva) hosted the course Rural 2030: New Leadership for Positive Transformation of the Rural Environment in 2022. An initiative promoted by the University of Andalucía and the Legislature de Huelva (PSOE).

Among the most prominent participants was Gómez, who participated as the main speaker, according to Okdiario. The program also included the presence of Francesc Boya, Secretary General for the Demographic Challenge and other senior officials of Pedro Sánchez's government. The president's wife attended joined by her personal secretary, responsible for her duties from La Moncloa.

Begoña Gómez in the Spotlight

The wife of the Prime Minister, charged with four alleged crimes, is once again in the spotlight. This follows the statement by Juan Carlos Doadrio, former vice-rector of the Complutense University of Madrid, before the magistrate. Doadrio revealed that Cristina Álvarez, director of Moncloa and advisor to Gómez, was the one managing her email.

Álvarez, Director of Programs of the Presidency of the Government and personal assistant to Begoña Gómez, had access to Gómez's email. This while she was at the Complutense University.

This detail could underscore her involvement in managing activities related to the chair directed by Gómez, despite holding a position funded by Moncloa.

In his appearance before the investigation commission of the Madrid Assembly, Juan Carlos Doadrio offered several clarifications about the process. He described how the chair was established and explained the role Begoña Gómez played in its creation.

According to his account, at first he received several emails from Gómez. However, shortly thereafter, it was Cristina Álvarez who indicated that he should communicate directly with her.

Doadrio explained that Cristina Álvarez asked him to communicate with her email address since she had trouble accessing and reviewing Begoña Gómez's messages.

This statement raised questions from Mercedes Zarzalejo, spokesperson for the People's Party, who wanted to know if he was referring to the institutional email of the Complutense University. In response, Doadrio confirmed that it was indeed the account to which Álvarez had access.
