The Legislature de Alicante has inaugurated the exhibition "Umbral de Sucesos," a multigenerational project by the Art.Ellas Collective that brings together twenty-five works by five female visual artists. The exhibition, which can be visited until April 6 at the Exhibition Hall of the Provincial Palace, coincides with the commemoration of International Women's Day.
The Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, highlighted during the inauguration "the importance of this initiative to make visible the creative talent of the province's artists and to promote the cultural promotion of the territory." Navarro thanked the collective's commitment to artistic dissemination, emphasizing the diversity of styles and techniques present in the exhibition.
The Art.Ellas Collective is composed of five artists from different generations and backgrounds. The exhibition's curator, May Ibáñez, explained that the project "not only showcases the quality and creativity of the works but also seeks interaction with the viewer, showing social and artistic changes over time."
The participating artists are Ana María Muñoz (1997), who explores comics with great skill; Isabel Mª Zapata (1990), whose surrealist work reflects on the relationship between humans and nature; María Teresa Expósito (1975), who fuses impressionism with symbolism in her landscapes and portraits; María José Marín (1962), with a multifaceted work ranging from hyperrealism to abstraction; and Julia Valdés (1949), a veteran creator with an extensive career in sculpture, drawing, and design.
The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. "Umbral de Sucesos" offers the public a journey through different artistic expressions, consolidating the Legislature de Alicante's commitment to cultural promotion and gender equality.
