The accusation that corners a high-ranking official of Félix Bolaños
The case has caused controversy after the trial was suspended months ago.
Manos Limpias reports the theft of a flash drive at a judicial headquarters related to an audio manipulation case. The organization, led by lawyer Miguel Bernard, has filed a complaint with the General Council of the Judiciary regarding the disappearance of a flash drive. This incident allegedly took place at the Investigating Court number 7 in Madrid.
The device, which contained the testimony of a minor in a divorce case, was linked to an investigation against Aitor Cubo. He is the Director General of Digital Transformation of the Administration of Justice and a high-ranking official in the Ministry led by Félix Bolaños. According to the complainant, the audio was manipulated, and the court's presiding judge, Susana Trujillano, had requested the recording several times, the last time being in December.
The case has caused controversy after the trial was suspended months ago because the accused claimed he hadn't had access to the audio file. Additionally, an expert report indicated signs of manipulation in the recording, which led to Cubo being charged in April.
Manos Limpias, presided over by Miguel Bernard, filed the complaint on January 15, according to The Objective.
In the complaint filed with the CGPJ, the union points to Judge Susana Trujillano and a legal officer of the justice administration for the disappearance of the flash drive. According to the complaint, the device had initially been handed over by the Civil Guard to the Dean's Office and subsequently transferred to the court.
The information contained in the flash drive included the inaudible testimony of the minor, a key piece in the case that points to alleged manipulation by the high-ranking official of the Ministry of Justice.
Bolaños's high-ranking official investigated for audio manipulation
The Investigating Court 7 in Madrid, under the jurisdiction of Judge Susana Trujillano, summoned a high-ranking official of Minister Félix Bolaños as a suspect. This is the Director General of Digital Transformation of the Administration of Justice, Aitor Cubo. The decision is linked to the alleged manipulation of an audio containing the testimony of a minor in the context of a divorce proceeding.
This case was initially coordinated by prosecutor Manuel Javato, husband of Sofía Puente, who is responsible for the General Secretariat of Justice in the Ministry of the Presidency. Javato is also the brother-in-law of the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente.
The judge adopted this measure in reply to an appeal filed by the complainant, the minor's father, which also had the support of the Prosecutor's Office. In her ruling, according to EFE, Trujillano reverses her previous decision to recuse herself in favor of the courts of Valladolid.
Both the complainant and the Prosecutor's Office argued that the case should remain in Madrid. This is because the headquarters of the Directorate General of Digital Transformation, where the servers storing the questioned recording are located, is in that judicial district.
The investigation continues to determine possible responsibilities in the manipulation of the file, a matter that involves high-ranking officials and has caused interest due to its political connections.
