The Huge Amount David Broncano and Lalachus Earned for the New Year's Eve Chimes Comes to Light

The budget amounted to 248,000 euros, a figure that has caused controversy due to its high expenditure; of this money, 66,000 euros were paid to the presenters.

RTVE has revealed that the total cost of the 2024 New Year's Eve broadcast amounted to 248,000 euros, a figure that has sparked controversy due to its high expense. Of this budget, 154,000 euros were allocated to external resources, while 66,000 euros were paid to presenters David Broncano and Lalachus.

This amount exceeds the 61,000 euros received by Ramón García, Ana Mena, and Jenni Hermoso for the 2023 New Year's Eve broadcast, highlighting an increase in spending. In 2022, Los Morancos and Ana Obregón each earned 30,000 euros. In comparison, the 2024 expenditure was significantly higher.

Broncano's hiring has been questioned due to his ties with Pedro Sánchez's government and his closeness to certain sympathetic media sectors. El Terrat, the production company managing 'La Resistencia,' Broncano's show, has worked on several projects with RTVE, raising suspicions.

RTVE's decision to increase the New Year's Eve budget in an economic crisis context has sparked criticism, especially regarding the use of public funds. Meanwhile, as the corporation raises its entertainment spending, thousands of people with severe illnesses like ALS or cancer struggle for resources and attention.

Many citizens believe that public money should be allocated to priorities such as healthcare, medical research, or support for vulnerable families. Criticism also targets RTVE's lack of transparency, as it avoided revealing the broadcast costs for months.

The high spending on the New Year's Eve broadcast reopens the debate on public money management and the suitability of certain hires on state television. Organizations and social media users have questioned the allocation of large sums to television events while other essential areas lack adequate funding.

The controversy over the cost of RTVE's New Year's Eve broadcast could intensify in the coming months, demanding greater clarity and control over the use of public funds.

This Is How Lalachus and Broncano's Mockery Offended Catholics

This past New Year's Eve, David Broncano, presenter and director of 'La Revuelta,' along with collaborator Lalachus, were in charge of bidding farewell to the year on RTVE's New Year's Eve broadcast.

The broadcast, far from being a festive event for everyone, ended up generating notable controversy on social media and in various sectors of society.

During the broadcast, Lalachus showed on camera an image featuring a cow superimposed on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

This gesture was considered by many as a direct offense to the religious sentiments of the Catholic community. Criticism quickly multiplied, with accusations of blasphemy from Catholic groups and users of the social network X.

The account "Universitarios Católicos" labeled the scene as "shameful" and expressed its rejection, considering it an attack on Christ.

"Spanish public television blaspheming and mocking the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This is how they start the year, mocking Christ. Shameful," the account stated in a post that soon went viral.
