Aldama's Complaint About His Armored Car After Being Returned by Uco
Aldama has also recovered several personal items that were inside during his second arrest.
Víctor de Aldama has recovered his assets seized by the UCO. However, he has filed a complaint in which he wanted to note that the vehicle that was seized from him had damages.
The car was seized in the context of an investigation for a fraud of more than 180M euros. Everything in the scheme in the fuel sector has been returned to him with damages that, according to him, were not present before.
This is stated in a new report that the UCO delivered on March 3 to the judge of the National Court, Santiago Pedraz, and to which El Independiente has had access. In the document, the agents detail that "on February 20, 2025, at 11:20 a.m., the vehicle was returned. An Audi brand car, model A8, to Víctor Gonzalo de Aldama".

Additionally, they point out that the businessman has been informed about the responsibilities he now has regarding the maintenance of the car.
The Civil Guard arrested Aldama for the second time in October of last year. Now, they have returned the Audi to him in compliance with the judicial resolution issued by Pedraz. The investigated had requested the restitution of the car arguing that it had advanced security systems.
In various interviews, he has hinted that he fears for his personal safety, which is why he insisted on the recovery of his armored vehicle. The agents have warned him that he must keep it in good condition and have it available for the judicial case.
However, the businessman maintains that the car has not been kept in the same condition under UCO custody. According to the police report, Aldama pointed out that, upon receiving it, he detected a scratch on the rear bumper. A damage that, according to him, did not exist at the time it was confiscated.

Nevertheless, the Civil Guard has provided the judge with several photographs in which, according to their version, it is shown that the defect was already present when the vehicle was seized.
Beyond the car, Aldama has also recovered several personal items that were inside at the time of his second arrest. Among these items are a trophy from the Ricardo Tormo circuit (Valencia), a blue jacket from the Carolina Herrera brand.
Also a diplomatic corps identification plaque. In addition to some brown sunglasses, a gold earring, two cables, and a blue wallet with one euro inside.
Aldama's Partner Provides a Key Fact to the Supreme Court Linking Jésica with Ábalos
Businessman Luis Alberto Escolano has testified this Tuesday before the magistrate investigating José Luis Ábalos for alleged corruption offenses.
Escolano claimed to have seen the former Minister of Transport in the apartment in the central Plaza de España in Madrid. Where Jessica Rodríguez, the politician's former romantic partner, lived. This rent was paid by Escolano himself.
According to legal sources present in his testimony as a witness, Escolano acknowledged the monthly payments of 2,700 euros for the apartment. He stated that he did so because Víctor de Aldama, who is being investigated for allegedly paying commissions to Ábalos, asked him to. Escolano claimed he did not ask questions about why he had to pay it, so he did not directly implicate Ábalos in the knowledge of the payments.
Jessica Rodríguez testified before the judge that she lived in said apartment between 2019 and 2021. She stated that Ábalos himself urged her to choose the apartment she wanted.
However, the investigated politician stated in court that the apartment payments were Escolano and Koldo García's doing. Because she was a friend of the latter and he knew nothing about it.
The investigation points to Víctor de Aldama as the "corrupting link". Who would have bribed Ábalos and his personal advisor in exchange for million-dollar contracts. This case was revealed after the arrest of Koldo García, Ábalos's former advisor, for alleged corruption in the purchase of masks during the pandemic.
Additionally, Jessica Rodríguez admitted that, although she was hired and received salaries from two public companies dependent on the Ministry of Transport, she never worked in them. She got these positions after giving her resume to Ábalos. Although she did not know who paid for her apartment in Plaza de España, she believes it could have been the former minister.
