The Executive's Company in the Hydrocarbons Scheme That Sponsored Begoña Gómez

Regarding the company, it was allegedly CE Consuilting

Begoña Gómez remains in the spotlight. This time, it's her chair again and, more specifically, the Chair of Competitive Social Transformation. Allegedly, an executive from the hydrocarbon scheme, led by Aldama, used a company to promote the mentioned chair.

It is Luis Martín Lara, according to the UCO, one of the responsible names appearing in the network report. As for the company, it was allegedly CE Consulting, where Martín Lara appears as vice president and CEO. This is why the UCO, according to the newspaper El Economista, is studying the contacts between Martín Lara and María Luisa Rivas, Claudio's sister and deputy director of the organization.

Although Fernando Núñez Rebollo presides over CE Consulting, the company has no relation to the hydrocarbon fraud.

Meanwhile, the Civil Guard highlights Martín Lara's relevance within the network. He is supposedly the one who signed the collaboration agreement with Gómez, although it is still unknown if this agreement included any kind of financial support. This agreement was formalized in July 2023.

After signing the agreement, Lara expressed that one of the major challenges for SMEs was sustainability. He also allegedly praised the project promoted by Begoña Gómez.

Regarding his connection with the investigated companies, it is known that Lara has held significant positions in some of them. He was the sole administrator of Villafuel between December 30, 2020, and August 2, 2021.

Additionally, he held the same position at Still Growing, the parent company of the operator, from February 9 until September 2021. However, he continued working as the company's representative until September 26, 2023.

The high-ranking Moncloa official who 'guaranteed security'

Let's remember that Pedro Sánchez's wife attended the Assembly of Madrid to testify about the alleged corruption case surrounding her.

The Government has confirmed that the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Judith Alexandra González, attended Begoña Gómez's appearance at the Assembly of Madrid on November 17. This was with the aim of "guaranteeing her security." This was reported by the digital outlet The Objective.

González's participation in the event has raised questions about the role of the Presidency in the appearance of President Pedro Sánchez's wife. As well as about the use of public resources in the process, a question that we at EDATV have asked Moncloa several times, and which has not been answered.

Moncloa has defended the attendance of Judith Alexandra González, Secretary-General of the Presidency, at Begoña Gómez's appearance at the Assembly of Madrid. This, arguing that her presence replied to security functions.

According to Article 8 of a royal decree approved in September 2023, the Security Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Government supports it. This is because the Government has among its responsibilities the protection of personnel and facilities of the Moncloa Complex. As well as the security of the president and other persons designated by the Directorate of the President's Cabinet, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior.

Within this group of people protected by the Presidency are the relatives of Pedro Sánchez. In this context, the Government has indicated that on November 13, 2024, the General Secretariat of the Presidency performed its usual functions. This justified González's trip to the Assembly of Madrid during Gómez's appearance.
