The Shocking Allegation that Shakes Judge Pedraz Leading the Hydrocarbons Case
The Manos Limpias union has filed a complaint following the images published alongside Carmen Pano's lawyer
The outbreak of the "Koldo case" and what it brought with it seems to have been taken from a fiction movie, but unfortunately for Spaniards, it is not. One of the biggest scandals that have occurred in recent months was the statements of the businesswoman, Carmen Pano. The woman claimed to have delivered 90,000 euros at the national headquarters of the Socialist Party by order of Víctor De Aldama.
Carmen Pano is charged in the "hydrocarbons" case, the same one that includes Aldama and Claudio Rivas. On the morning of this past Thursday, to the surprise of many, photographs have come to light that raise suspicions. The judge handling the "hydrocarbons plot," Santiago Pedraz, was caught "having wine and tapas."

He was with the lawyer of Aldama's partner, the attorney Javier Gómez Bermúdez for the second time.
For this reason, the Manos Limpias union has filed a complaint for malfeasance against Judge Pedraz.
The complaint has been filed with the Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid. The entity led by Manos Limpias states the following about Pedraz and Gómez Bermúdez
"They share events, gatherings, in an ostentatious, blatant, flagrant, conspicuous, and gross manner."
For the union, this fact constitutes a crime of malfeasance. The Penal Code establishes that "authorities or public officials who, knowingly of its injustice, issue an arbitrary resolution" are guilty of it.

From the union, they affirm that the magistrate "should have abstained due to the manifest friendship with the lawyer of his client."
The images were revealed by the digital outlet El Debate, which explains that both were in a restaurant in the center of Madrid. According to the digital outlet, the meeting between these two figures represents "an evident conflict of interest." This is because there is a bond and sympathy between them, although the correct thing is that it should be a neutral relationship.
Supposedly, the magistrate of the National Court, Santiago Pedraz, and the lawyer Javier Gómez Bermúdez have frequent meetings on a terrace near Plaza de Alonso Martínez, in Madrid. According to the cited media, these meetings occur almost daily, extending for several hours.
Pedraz arrives at the place shortly after noon, joined by two National Police officers who perform escort duties. The judge parks his official vehicle in a traffic-restricted area, intended exclusively for municipal buses.
Meanwhile, Gómez Bermúdez, who works at the Ramón y Cajal office located a few meters from the establishment, is usually already on the terrace. Supposedly, with a glass of wine in hand.
