Augc Denounces Interior's Inaction Amid Rising Drug Trafficking in Andalucía

According to the AUGC, drug trafficking has increased significantly in Andalusia, and the Ministry's actions seem insufficient to address this growing threat.

The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) has strongly criticized the Ministry of the Interior's passivity in the fight against drug trafficking. Their message is clear: Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska's concern with silencing the reality is an obstacle in the fight against this criminal phenomenon.

According to the AUGC, drug trafficking has increased significantly in Andalusia, and the Ministry's actions seem insufficient to address this growing threat. Instead of effectively tackling the issue, the minister has focused on concealing the facts.

Recently, images of drug traffickers armed with assault rifles in Huelva have been disseminated, which have shocked society. The AUGC maintains that these images are not an isolated incident but the result of years of inaction and lack of resources for the State Security Forces and Corps.

The association denounces that the Ministry of the Interior is "more concerned" with the dissemination of these images than with the criminal activity taking place on our coasts. This lack of control over drug trafficking endangers the safety of the population and the agents themselves.

The civil guards have expressed their frustration over the lack of reinforcements and adequate means to face this situation. "We have been denouncing this issue for too long," they state. They assert that the lack of institutional support has allowed crime to continue gaining ground.

The AUGC has demanded immediate solutions to address drug trafficking in Andalusia. Among their proposals are the need to increase the number of personnel, provide modern resources to the Security Forces and Corps, and establish legislative changes that allow for a more effective fight against organized crime.

Additionally, they emphasize the importance of implementing a real and effective strategy instead of remaining in empty speeches. "It's time to act and end the serious security risk we have been suffering for years," they add.

In recent days, the situation has escalated even further. A fight between drug trafficking gangs in Sanlúcar de Barrameda over control of drug trafficking has been reported. This type of incident reinforces the AUGC's concern about the growing power of criminal groups in the region.

The AUGC emphasizes that the current situation is unsustainable. Without an adequate response from the Ministry of the Interior, the fight against drug trafficking is compromised and the safety of citizens is at stake. "The minister must assume his responsibility and strengthen security in Andalusia," they conclude.

The recent images and situations have made it clear that drug trafficking is an urgent problem that can't be ignored. The AUGC calls for action, demanding concrete measures to curb this threat and protect the population.
