Ana Rosa responds harshly to Irene Montero after accusations of legitimizing Desokupa
During her program, Ana Rosa highlighted: "Some of us generate wealth and employment, while others spend our money on apps that have to close."
Ana Rosa Quintana replied to Irene Montero live from her show "TardeAR" this Thursday. Following the criticisms launched by the MEP on the television show "Todo es Mentira," hosted by Risto Mejide.
In her statement, Quintana was assertive: "I don't know the obsession this lady has with me. I'm not going to get into controversies, however, she hates companies and entrepreneurs," she commented.
The reply originated after Montero, in her intervention on "Todo es Mentira", referenced a past interview between Quintana and the leader of Desokupa, Daniel Esteve. This led to a confrontation with Risto Mejide, who tried to moderate Montero's criticisms.
"We Generate Wealth, Others Spend It": Ana Rosa Quintana
During her show, Ana Rosa also highlighted: "Some of us generate wealth and employment, while others spend our money on apps that have to be shut down." With this statement, the host alluded to an app promoted by the Ministry of Equality, which cost 375,000 euros and didn't meet the expected objectives.
Quintana emphasized that her achievements are the result of her work: "Everything I have, I've achieved by working, like any entrepreneur who pays taxes. That's the difference."
Risto Mejide Intervenes in Defense of Ana Rosa
In Mejide's show, Montero mentioned Quintana while talking about the lawsuits filed by Daniel Esteve against her. In reply, Risto firmly stopped her comments: "When you address a colleague who's not present, say it to their face when they're here. I'm not going to allow you to turn this into a rally."
The MEP tried to justify her reference to Quintana, but the host reiterated that he wouldn't allow personal attacks on his show.
Growing Tension between Montero and Daniel Esteve
The confrontation between Irene Montero and Daniel Esteve has escalated in recent months. The leader of Desokupa recently announced two lawsuits against the MEP. Where he accuses her of defamation for labeling his organization as a "band of neo-Nazis" and demanding its illegalization.
For her part, Montero argued on "Todo es Mentira" that Desokupa "profits from hate and poverty," comments that Esteve categorically rejected. The debate continues to generate a strong division of opinions in public opinion.
