'this Carnival Weekend...': Roberto Brasero Makes Clear Where It Might Rain
Changing weather in Spain: What awaits us for the Carnival weekend depending on the area of Spain?
Spain is experiencing days of very changeable weather. In some areas, the cold remains a protagonist, in others rain has made an appearance and in some places snow has arrived. With this unstable outlook, many are already wondering what will happen toward the weekend, especially because in many localities Carnivals will be celebrated.
For those planning to enjoy parades, parties and outdoor activities, the weather forecast is key. To clear up doubts, meteorologist Roberto Brasero has analyzed what could happen in the coming days.

A Storm Will Mark the Weekend
Before looking at Saturday and Sunday, attention must be paid to what will happen from Thursday. Roberto Brasero confirms that the formation of a storm in the Atlantic is expected. This could descend southward, advancing parallel to the coast of Portugal.
According to the latest models, this could be a cold storm, meaning with a load of cold air that makes it more intense and unpredictable.
With this situation, on Friday the rains would enter through the southwestern peninsula, affecting regions such as Extremadura, the west and south of Andalusia, and Castilla-La Mancha. This day, coinciding with Andalusia Day, some precipitation could be intense in the southwestern third.
In northern Spain and the Balearic Islands, meanwhile, the rains would be more occasional and scattered, Roberto Brasero assures.

Saturday and Sunday: Carnivals Drenched?
For Saturday, Roberto Brasero says the storm would move from the southern half toward the Mediterranean. Consequently, the southeastern area, which includes regions such as Murcia, Almería and the Valencian Community, could be the most affected by persistent rains. Meanwhile, in the rest of Andalusia, Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha, although showers could occur, they would generally be weaker.
On Sunday, the storm would lose strength and the precipitation would decrease. However, Roberto Brasero assures that due to the nature of these storms, which usually make an exact prediction difficult, an isolated shower in certain regions can't be completely ruled out.
Roberto Brasero assures that as of today, there is still uncertainty about the exact areas where it will rain more intensely. As the expert has highlighted, the meteorological models have been changing in recent days and could continue to adjust.
For those planning to enjoy the Carnivals next weekend, the most advisable thing is to check the updated forecasts as the key days approach. Although it doesn't seem that bad weather will be widespread, some regions could indeed have rains that condition outdoor celebrations.
