Vodafone's oversight that puts customers on edge: they don't fulfill what was promised

Users report that Vodafone's most important offer is somewhat misleading and lacks transparency.

Vodafone has launched one of the most attractive offers in the telecommunications market. Its combined package of fiber, mobile, and television for 47 euros per month seems, at first glance, a unique opportunity. Especially for users looking to have all services in a single rate.

The offer includes 1 Gb fiber, two mobile lines with unlimited calls, and 100 GB of data. In addition to more than 80 television channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+. Without a doubt, it's one of the most complete offers in the market.

However, after several months in the market, users are beginning to report certain details they don't like. In fact, some label the promotion as misleading.

What does Vodafone's promotion include?

For 47 euros per month, Vodafone offers a combination of services that, in principle, seems very difficult to match. The 1 GB fiber guarantees an ultra-fast connection, ideal for those who enjoy streaming content or online gaming. The two mobile lines with unlimited calls and 100 GB of data allow for great freedom of communication and browsing.

To this are added more than 80 television channels and streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+. So users have access to a practically unlimited variety of content.

Although the initial offer seems fantastic, the price of 47 euros per month is only valid for the first three months. From the fourth month, Vodafone increases the rate to 78 euros monthly. Which no longer seems as attractive compared to other operators.

Additionally, this price increase is joined by a one-year commitment. Therefore, it means that users won't be able to switch operators without incurring a penalty. This abrupt change in price has caused numerous complaints among users.

They consider that Vodafone isn't being transparent with its customers. Meanwhile, the initial promotion doesn't reflect the real cost of the service in the long term.

Are there ways to lower the price?

It must be said that there is an option to lower the monthly fee to 68 euros if the 1 Gb fiber is changed to 600 Mb. However, this option also requires signing a one-year commitment contract.

Although this 10-euro reduction might seem like a viable solution, many consider that the fact that the price increases constitutes a misleading practice. Especially after three months.

On social media, Vodafone customers haven't stopped expressing their dissatisfaction with the promotion. Many consider that the company is playing with the illusion of an attractive offer, only to unexpectedly increase the price later. The complaints are not only related to the price but also to the lack of clarity in the terms and conditions of the promotion.
