U-turn at Orange: Movistar trembles and customers have a clearer view
Orange announces a series of changes in its rates, which in some cases may cause significant harm to the competition.
Orange has made a bold move in the telecommunications market. It announced a series of changes in its service offerings that put Movistar in an uncomfortable position. These adjustments are not only presented as a reply to the competition but also aim to attract a larger number of customers.
To achieve this, it announces more attractive, affordable, and customizable rates. In fact, Orange's new promotions are putting Telefónica's operator against the ropes. In some cases, it even improves some of the offers that the blue operator launched in the past.
Orange allows choosing services à la carte
With its new offer, Orange makes it easier for users to choose their content à la carte. This allows them to save a considerable amount of money. Previously, many customers were forced to pay for services they didn't use, such as TV channels or features they weren't interested in.

Now, with the new rates, customers can customize their package and access only what they really want to see, without overpaying. This strategy is quite similar to the one Movistar has been implementing for months.
One of the most notable offers of Orange's new strategy is the possibility of contracting a combined fiber and mobile rate. For just 48 euros ($52.80) per month, customers can enjoy 600 MB of fiber and 60 GB on their mobile line. This guarantees an ultra-fast connection at home and a good amount of data for the mobile.
Additionally, this rate includes the option to add Orange TV channels for just 6 euros ($6.60) more. This flexibility and the ability to customize the package is one of the strengths of its new offer.

Orange wants to capture football fans
But Orange doesn't stop there. The operator is also fully targeting the segment of football lovers, a field where Movistar has traditionally been strong. To counteract Movistar's latest promotion, which announced football for just 25 euros ($27.50) per month for six months, Orange launches a rate for football fans.
It offers a complete package with all the football for 95 euros ($104.50) per month. This is another way to stand up to the competition, which is always on the lookout.
Additionally, all Orange's Cinema and Series and Football and Cinema rates include the best state-of-the-art equipment. The service is joined by a 4K Orange TV decoder and a next-generation WiFi router to ensure the signal is stable and fast at all times.
