Infanta Cristina isn't going through one of her best moments. So much so that she has been forced to call her father, King Juan Carlos, to help her with a delicate and concerning family matter.

There is no doubt that these last three years have been extremely difficult for Infanta Cristina, and not just because of her complicated divorce from Iñaki Urdangarin. Additionally, King Juan Carlos's daughter has also had to deal with the growing problems related to her youngest daughter.

As has emerged in recent weeks, Irene's academic performance and behavior aren't being the desired ones. So much so that, it seems, her mother has been forced to contact the emeritus to confess what is happening.

However, and to the surprise of many, King Juan Carlos I's granddaughter is making more headlines for her controversial social life than for her academic performance. So much so that she has been photographed on multiple occasions enjoying London's nightlife.

Additionally, it is said that the young woman barely attends class and even relies on her classmates' notes to keep up. In fact, it is said that Irene has considered the possibility of dropping out before finishing the course.

Irene's lack of dedication has led this demanding educational institution to issue her several warnings, a situation that Infanta Cristina is no longer willing to tolerate.

According to reports, the former Duchess of Palma didn't think twice about asking her father, King Juan Carlos I, for help. The Infanta is fully aware that her daughter respects and has full confidence in her grandfather, so she hopes he can persuade her to change her attitude.

Therefore, in this situation, it is said that the emeritus might take drastic decisions, just as he did with Froilán. As has begun to be speculated, the monarch might be considering the possibility of taking Irene Urdangarin to Abu Dhabi, hoping to correct her behavior.
